Shuma and the Ponies

Pt 9 “Shuma and the Ponies”

“Let's pop over and see the children” Grandma said, “OK” I replied so off we walked, down the garden, it was a beautiful day and one where everything you see seems to sing out with their colours, I had noticed that since we had been visiting the children and enjoying their play our garden had taken on a strange but so beautiful ray of colours. Maybe it was that we had started looking with their ways with a love of all things, it was just that the flowers glowed, and the birds songs drifted to our ears.

We crossed the meadow to the Pooh bridge and there the children were playing Pooh sticks, they never seemed to tire of doing anything, they called out to us in a chorus, sending us a bundle of colours and feelings that wrapped around us as we walked to the seat, which embraced us as we sat there.
We enjoyed the peace of the waterfall and the area as we always did just being there.

As we sat Shuma come in from the trees leading a bunch of lovely small ponies, we just smiled and sent him some love as he is such a lovely Spirit and looking after the children is a part of what he loves.
Shuma looked toward us as the great cuddly bear would do, sending out gold's and light blue colours that splashed at our feet.

The next thing that we saw was that the field just a little way from us before the waterfall, started changing, a circle of gymkhana jumps grew out of the grass little ones that were just the right height for the ponies had they wished to jump them.
Here was a new place for the children to play, this was today's playtime, we thought we would just wait and see what happened, there was a bundle of colour change at the edge of the wood which had a lovely dark near black centre to it, yes you guessed
Little bear came running in and jumped all of the jumps throwing out colours of gold that seem to wrap around him, and he was laughing as only a little bear could, it was as if he was flying but maybe there was a little extra was helping him.

Sadie arrived and stood watching from by the lake side, she just started laughing as she always did with her high pitched voice. She was laughing at Little bear as he forgot to stop at the end and fell into the stream with a splash and a burst of surprise in greens and gold's,
Sadie made the ground a bit better for the children so that they wouldn't follow by example, but she laughed at little bear who seemed to hold his head down but he was giggling at the thing he had just done.
Not to be outdone Shuma took off toward the jumps to show the children how it was done, we just laughed at the site of the great bear trying to jump the little fences and his large tummy was knocking the top bar off as he went around the jumps
He rolled on the grass laughing so much that big golden tears rolled down his fur onto the grass where they made some perfect tulips then he laughed some more.
The children took turns in riding around the jump course and at the end of each time around they would sit and watch the others laughing and singing little songs for them to make things better.
We sat for a little while longer then Granma whispered that it was lovely to see them, but we should just leave them to their play, I nodded and walked up the garden path with such ease and love in our hearts, then a little breeze of a voice surrounded us, “Night Night Granddad and Grandma I love you both and will see you soon.” Then a little laugh of Sadie which seemed to plant the love deep in our souls.
We both said night lovely ones and we went in doors where the peace we had been given would rest us.
